Installation:

1. Seal the outer diameter of the rubber with clean oil. Lubricate gearbox cover or flywheel housing holes with clean oil.
2. Install two guide studs (J-35686-1) through the holes provided in the center guide assembly (J-35686-1) and into the two threaded holes of the crankshaft at 180 degrees. Tighten the guide stud. The base must be tight against the end of the crankshaft.
3. Install the gasket on the center screw of the base.
4. Slide the oil seal assembly over the mounting base as close to the crankshaft hub as possible. Slip the collar so that the side with the step touches the seal. Slide the mounting cup onto the guide stud and mounting base.
5. Lubricate the center screw of the base with extreme pressure lubricant. Install the thrust bearing so that one side of the housing faces the mounting cup and install the hexagon nut on the center screw of the base.
6. Tighten the hex nut until the oil seal and wear sleeve are pressed into the flywheel housing or gearbox cover.
7. When the inner surface of the housing is firmly against the base and gasket, the seal and sleeve are installed correctly. The tool should be removed
