Installation Tips

Before you start, make sure to remove any old seal material from the mating surfaces.
Drain the old oil completely and clean the oil pan thoroughly.
Check the pump's mounting surface for any scratches or damage before installing.
When sliding the seal over the camshaft, be careful not to damage the small sealing lip.
Make sure the pump is perfectly lined up with the mounting holes before you tighten the bolts.
Once installed, pour clean oil into the inlet and outlet ports, and turn the pump by hand to ensure it spins freely without sticking.
We highly recommend replacing the oil filter and all related seals at the same time.
We also recommend tightening the bolts in a crisscross pattern and using a torque wrench for accuracy.
